INTRODUCTION
Advance organizers have been found to be effective instructional variables in facilitating student achievement, (1-4). Corkill, Glover, Bruning and Krug (5, p. 304) have indicated that " ... advance organizers are designed to have specific effect on how readers deal with upcoming text, the provision of an organizer is still a means of setting a context for encoding". This motion has found support in the Assimilation Encoding Theory (6). Kloster and Winne (7, p. 9) suggest that advance organizers are theorized to promote learning either because they (a) " ... supply a learner with a new cognitive structure so that the new information can be connected ...
