Turk Telekom primed for sell-off

The Privatisation Administration (OIB) on 15 January said it had completed preparation for the sell-off of Turk Telekom and would launch a tender in the coming weeks.

"An information memorandum has been prepared and is available from today," said Hakki Surel, head of OIB's telecoms privatisation committee. "We will announce a tender in coming weeks for the block sale of the company," he said. The tender will be for the block sale of 20 per cent of Turk Telekom to a strategic investor or group of investors headed by an international telecommunications operator.
