EPIC contract for Costain
The UK's Costain Oil, Gas & Process (Overseas) has secured an engineering, procurement, installation and construction (EPIC) contract for the T1 expansion project by British Gas Tunisia (BGT) at the Hannibal gas treatment plant in Sfax.
The work will raise the unit's capacity to 5.5 million cubic metres a day and debottleneck BGT's existing facilities, which now provide about 80 per cent of Tunisia's domestic gas demand. The expansion is intended to allow BGT to meet this requirement through to 2002.
