SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- San Jose Mercury News publisher Jay Harris and executive editor David Yarnold announced today that Susan Goldberg will become the newspaper's managing editor in late September.
Goldberg, 39, returns to the Mercury News and Knight Ridder after ten years at USA Today where she is deputy managing editor for the Life section. Prior to assuming that job in May, she worked for four years as deputy managing editor/Enterprise, where she was responsible for investigative, explanatory and computer-assisted stories and projects for all sections of the newspaper and for its polling operation.
