ST. PAUL, Minn. and DAVENPORT, Iowa, Aug. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Land O'Lakes and Swiss Valley Farms today announced plans to partner in a joint venture which would combine the fluid milk and cultured dairy product businesses of the two organizations.
Following recent approval by the Boards of Directors of Land O'Lakes, Inc. (St. Paul, Minn.) and Swiss Valley Farms, Co. (Davenport, Iowa), the member-owned cooperatives proposed the formation of the alliance on, or about, October 1, 1999.
The venture, with combined annual revenues of $480 million, would bring together the two cooperatives' six Midwestern milk and juice bottling plants and two cultured dairy product plants. ...
