There's something to having the boss know just exactly how the line- level jobs work.
That's the case at Chelsea-based powdered-metal manufacturers P/M Krupp Technologies Inc. None other than the family matriarch, company President Frieda Krupp, holds the all-time production record on the company's big 40-ton press.
"My mother wasn't going to teach somebody to run a press if she didn't know how to do it," said Stephanie Krupp, vice president of marketing for the family- owned $3 million-a-year maker of specialty metal parts.
