Jul. 23 -- GASOLINE PRICES EDGE UP IN STATE: Gas prices nudged up in Arizona after a two-month decline, according to AAA Arizona.

The group said self-serve unleaded averaged $1.21 a gallon in Arizona between June 22 and July 20, an increase of 2 cents since last month and 12 cents higher than a year ago.

The price for unleaded in the Phoenix area was $1.19, up 2 cents from last month.

In Tucson, unleaded was $1.15 in the new survey, an increase from the $1.11 recorded a month ago. In rural Arizona, unleaded stayed unchanged at $1.31.
