Mexican Firm Opens Prince George, Va., Insulated-Panel Factory.

Aug. 17 -- PRINCE GEORGE, Va. -- Mark R. Kilduff said it is the first company with ties to Mexico to locate in Virginia.

Eugenio Clariond Reyes said it is living proof that the North American Free Trade Agreement works.

And John G. Kines Jr. said it is one of the top five industrial investments in Prince George County in the past five years.

It is Metl-Span East, and it opened yesterday in the Southpoint Business Park off Bull Hill Road. Local and state officials cut the ribbon for the company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Grupo IMSA, a Monterrey, Mexico-based steel company with annual revenue of more than $1.5 billion.
