WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 17, 1999--

Robert Haft, CEO, Vitamins.com, announced today that Vitamins.com has purchased the $20 million-revenue L&H Vitamins, Inc., Long Island City, NY, catalogue operations which include a 350,000 member mailing list, a 60,000 square foot distribution facility and a retail Web site.

The existing catalogue and Web site will be branded under the Vitamins.com name.

L&H Founder Lloyd Marmon has purchased, with his son L&H Vice President Judd Marmon, a $6.25 million equity interest in Vitamins.com. They will continue to operate the current catalogue operations.
