FORT WORTH, Texas, Aug. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- American Eagle, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, has taken delivery of its first ERJ-135 regional jet, which is produced by Brazilian manufacturer Embraer. The 37-seat ERJ-135 is a smaller version of the 50-seat ERJ-145 that American Eagle first took delivery of last year. American Eagle President Peter Bowler was on hand today at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport to commemorate the event.
"We are pleased to be one of the launch customers of this great aircraft," said Bowler. "This is the perfect aircraft for both new growth and for replacing some of our turboprop aircraft."
