CHICAGO, Aug. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- It is possible to teach an old dog new tricks -- or at least an old professor new technologies. Younger professors also are learning how to put new technology to work in the classroom, thanks to the Ameritech Faculty Development Technology Program.
More than 2,000 faculty at 200 independent colleges in Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Michigan have been trained through the Ameritech Faculty Development Technology Program, now in its 5th year. These professors learn to apply technologies as teaching tools through a summer of workshops conducted by their peers.
