Prince William County government needs to be more dollar-conscious and user friendly, and changes have to start with county supervisors, the GOP candidate for chairman of the county board said yesterday.
Sean Connaughton, in announcing part of his platform yesterday , called on board members to take a stronger hand in creating policy, and proposed performance-based measures for county agencies.
He said residents have lost faith in the way their local government operates. With a $400 million operating budget, they deserve a better return on their tax dollar, Mr. Connaughton said.
