TRACY, QUEBEC--(BUSINESS WIRE)--August 23, 1999--
At a meeting with employees of Atlas Stainless Steels, the President of Novamerican Steel Inc. (NASDAQ: TONS-news), Mr. Bryan Jones, announced his intention to acquire the Tracy plant, along with a minority partner, Societe generale de financement du Quebec.
Mr. Jones said that the offer is subject to due diligence, as well as a number of conditions.
