Macquarrie must be commended for this insightful work that sheds light upon the similarities found among these nine mediators: Buddha, Confucius, Jesus, Krishna, Lao-zu, Moses, Muhammad, Socrates, and Zoroaster. This insight enables readers to recognize the link between the mediators and the Divine. While each mediator employs different methods to communicate his teachings to his followers, they all emphasize the need for a moral life.
