Article: No kidding; There's nothing funny about 'Grown Ups'; 'Grown' will make viewers groan.

A publicist called the other day to shill for "Grown Ups," the UPN sitcom starring all-grown-up Jaleel White, also known as Steve Urkel. And he had a couple of selling points beyond the Urkel angle.
"It's kind of Seinfeldish," the publicist said.
"He dates women of other races," he added.
Now, it may be unfair to criticize a show based on what some flack says, but it gives you an idea of the reek of desperation around "Grown Ups," which debuts tonight at 9 on WSBK (Ch.38).
