Chile: The Rabat group will sell its stakes in both Aguas Manquehue and Telefonica Manquehue. Aguas Manquehue will be sold to Biwater. The Chilean water compay, which has some 2,500 clients, has invested US$16mil between 1995 and 1999 to build a water treatment plant and a water distribution facility. Telefonica Manquehue, which has 70,000 telephone lines, controls Seguridad Manquehue (insurance), TV Cable Manquehue (cable tv operator), Internet Manquehue and Larga Distancia Manquehue (long-distance telecoms operator).
