Kiki Mutis, who is currently pursuing her masters in environmental studies from Florida International University (FIU) is combining her graduate study with Peace Corps service in a unique new Masters' International program. She is the first student in from FIU's environmental program to apply her expertise in the field as a Masters' International student.
Mutis will depart for Bolivia to begin her Peace Corps service as a forestry volunteer. Mutis's graduate work and Peace Corps service will focus on the ethnobotanical study of the solanaceous plants, such as tomatoes and potatoes, in Bolivian house gardens.
