Magnetic traps from Eriez help McIlhenny keep metal particles out of its Tabasco sauce.
In an effort to maintain extremely high levels of product purity, McILhenny Co. uses strategically placed magnets to ensure that ferrous particles, or tramp metal, do not contaminate its famous Tabasco brand hot pepper sauce.
McIlhenny, based in Avery Island, La., has been making Tabasco pepper sauce to the same basic specifications since the formula was patented in 1870.
