Bidders prepare for Taweelah A-1
All six international companies that prequalified for the Taweelah A-1 project in Abu Dhabi are understood to have notified Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority (ADWEA) of their intention to bid for the emirate's second independent water and power project (IWPP).
Proposals are due by 15 November and the client is scheduled to shortlist up to three international developers by the end of December. A developer will be selected and a power and water purchase agreement signed the following June. Financial close is set for late October 2000.
