VTEL(R) Corporation (Nasdaq:VTEL) announced today that Galaxy(tm), the company's next-generation group videoconferencing systems, will be unveiled Tuesday, August 31 at MultiMediaCom '99 in Boston.

Scheduled for progressive release starting at the end of the current calendar quarter, Galaxy systems come equipped with Vtouch(tm), a revolutionary, Windows-based user interface controlled with a unique, ergonomically designed remote control that allows a user to conduct a video call presentation while operating the system with one hand.
