Diamond State Offers Long-Term Financing for Small Businesses
Arkansas Capital Corp. Group has created a $15 million venture capital fund, Diamond State Ventures, to provide money for expansion of small Arkansas businesses.
The fund is distinctive and possibly unique among Arkansas funds, says Sam Walls, executive vice president of Arkansas Capital Corp., a 42-year-old nonprofit organization. No other state venture capital fund provides financing for companies with revenue in the $1 million-$3 million range, Walls says.
