Aug. 31 -- There's a sense of history at the Lummus Corp.'s eight-month-old factory and corporate headquarters in Chatham County that is hard to reconcile with the lightning pace of change at the company over the past two years.
On the outside, Lummus' new $15-million facility in the Crossroads Business Park looks more like a building on a college campus than a history-laden manufacturer of cotton gins.
