How do scientists know that dinosaurs had scales, feathers, or fur?
Scientists have not found any dinosaur skin, but they have discovered fossil impressions left by skin. Those impressions show that some dinosaurs had a pebbly skin texture, like an alligator's. Other dinosaurs had feathers, but not wings.
