CHULA VISTA - More jobs and a plan to redevelop part of Chula Vista's bayfront are the result of a major pact between the area's largest employer, the city and the Port District.

Those involved in the deal say it could propel the revitalization of the South Bay city.

At the center of the deal is the BF Goodrich Aerospace/Aerostructures Group, formerly Rohr, Inc. The company, a Chula Vista resident for nearly 60 years, is restructuring and consolidating its facilities, which will ultimately free up some waterfront property.
