WASHINGTON, Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Advertising on the Internet is dominated by advertising for e-commerce transactions, not brand building, according to Advertising on the Internet: 1999, a new study released by The Strategis Group. This 265-page study of Internet advertising was based on a survey of 7,000 ads and a nationwide consumer advertising poll. Most of the top television and print advertisers have little or no advertising presence on the Internet, while companies known for Internet commerce now dominate online advertising.
