The New York City Partnership recently released results of a year-long study on reducing the cost of new housing construction in New York City. The report - prepared by the New York University School of Law's Center for Real Estate and Urban Policy and delivered to the Partnership and the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development - makes a number of recommendations which, if implemented, could reduce the cost of new housing construction by up to 25 percent.
