OppenheimerFunds, Inc. (OFI) today announced the launch of the Oppenheimer Senior Floating Rate Fund, a fund that is designed to seek monthly income while attempting to provide a degree of protection against share price fluctuations from changes in interest rates.

The fund's objective is to seek as high a level of current income and preservation of capital as is consistent with investing primarily in senior floating rate loans and other debt securities.
