Sep. 6 -- The zorse won.
With two donkeys, a zebra and a mule as competition, the handsome 3-year-old filly Savannah took the best color -- all breeds class hands down.
Savannah is a cross between a Grant's zebra stallion and a quarter horse mare.
And if you have never seen a zorse -- there aren't that many of them in the country -- don't write it off as an ugly, awkward hybrid.
She's as pretty as most any quarter horse, a bay with black stripes, some so subtle along her flank, they look like shadows. Others on her rump are distinct and a spider-web-like pattern on her forehead is a ...
