ALTHOUGH USED mostly in Asia, seabuckthorn oil is set to become popular in the US as a nutritional supplement for people with gastrointestinal disorders.
The seabuckthorn plant is a shrub native to temperate zones in Europe and Asia. For more than 2,000 years, the plant has been used in Tibet and Mongolia to treat diseases of the digestive system including gastritis, esophagitis, gastric ulcers, proctitis and chronic colitis.
