As the digital color printing market continues to expand, technology enables higher top-end image quality.
Of all the printing systems introduced at the Drupa '95 exposition in Germany, few drew as much attention as the Heidelberg Quickmaster DI 46. So called because it uses Presstek technology to image plates directly from digital files, the press promised printers the ability to offer genuine high-quality offset lithography to the market for short-run, on-demand printing.
