ATLANTA-Drapes may come and drapes may go, but sheers are always with us.
Consumers today are looking for simpler, cleaner looks at the window, manufacturers say, and sheers are made to order for that -- whether as stand-alone treatments or layered with other styles.
"There's a trend toward practicality," said Valborg Linn, director of design and merchandising at Park B. Smith. "Sheers are still very important, and scarves are still big." The company often mixes pattern scarves with a solid panel, or vice versa. It also features a sheer panel with an opaque scarf.
