WESTFORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 16, 1999--
As Hurricane Floyd continues to move up the East Coast, companies that use Northeast apples are preparing for potential damage to this year's crop. Among these companies is Veryfine Products, Inc., which uses apples picked in the fall to produce its line of apple juices.
The Northeast apple supply is particularly vulnerable to wind and heavy rain right now, as farmers are harvesting this year's crop. Severe inclement weather can be detrimental to the apple harvest.
