Sep. 14 -- ARLINGTON, Texas -- The city's convention and visitors bureau is teaming up with the Texas Rangers for a new TV/radio promotion that touts the Metroplex to out-of-town visitors and markets Arlington hotels.
The promotion will likely spill over into next season and possibly become a regular marketing strategy, said Texas Rangers chief financial officer John McMichael at yesterday's Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau board meeting.
The Rangers are asking out-of-town callers who respond to their new TV and radio ticket ads if they need accommodations. If so, callers are given the toll-free number ...
