WASHINGTON, Sept. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Hispanic-Americans will be a political force in the 2000 election cycle and are optimistic about their future but are concerned about education, the economy and the availability of jobs, according to a new poll released today by Univision, the nation's leading Spanish-language television network.
In a new bipartisan poll of Hispanic-Americans conducted by Penn, Schoen & Berland and Michael K. Deaver, 70 percent of those who are eligible to vote by 2000 say they are likely to vote in next year's election.
