Sep. 19 -- In the days of Jimmy Hoffa, the Teamsters were known to use bricks and baseball bats in their battles to organize and negotiate contracts.
Today, under the leadership of Hoffa's son, the union is waging a quieter but no less intense battle against one of the nation's largest trucking companies.
Instead of physical force, they're waging a war of words in their attempts to get a contract for drivers and dock workers at Overnite Transportation Co., based in Richmond, Va., and one the nation's largest nonunion trucking companies.
