ROCK HILL, NY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 21, 1999--
Frontier Insurance Group, Inc. (Frontier) (NYSE-FTR) announced a definitive agreement to purchase ManagedComp, Inc., a managed care workers' compensation service company with annual revenues of $60 million. ManagedComp manages more than $200 million in workers' compensation self-insurance groups, individual self-insurance programs and individual insured programs for more than 4,000 employers nationwide.
ManagedComp is a private company that was formed in Massachusetts in 1989. Headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts, the company currently has service offices in thirteen states.
