Q: My best friend got a huge pimple on her nose the night before her wedding. She would have done anything to make it go away (in the end she just covered it up). That unhappy incident got me wondering: If money's no object, what does medical science have to offer for speedy pimple removal?
A: I put the question to noted dermatologist Dr. Peter Muz, who practices at Emerson Hospital in Concord.
"If Sharon Stone came to me - she's still considered hot, right? - with a pimple she needed gone in a hurry, I'd drain it and inject it with triamcinolone. Any swelling or redness would be gone in about 24 hours. Total cost - $60."
