HOUSTON, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- In a White House ceremony today, the Division of Transplantation of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services awarded LifeGift Organ Donation Center two three-year federal grants totaling more than $1 million. The LifeGift award was part of a three-year nationwide effort to increase organ donation. The first year awards announced today total nearly $5.2 million and the grants are planned to total more than $13 million over the next three years.
