Furon to sell wire, cable unit
Furon Co. will sell the assets of its Dekoron wire and cable business to Naples, Fla.-based Cable USA Inc.
Sold under the Dekoron and Unitherm brands, the products include signal and sensing wire and cable, instrumentation and control cable, and heat trace tubing bundles. The lines are used primarily in process industries including petrochemicals, utilities, pulp and paper, mining and wastewater treatment.
In the fiscal year ended Jan. 31, Dekoron had worldwide sales of $29 million. Terms of the deal weren't released.
