Sep. 21 -- The Omaha World-Herald Co. said Tuesday it will acquire Partnership Press Inc., which owns a group of newspapers in central Iowa, from Michael Gartner, Gary Gerlach, and the estate of David Belin.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The Partnership Press group includes the 10,200-circulation Ames Daily Tribune, as well as the Algona Upper Des Moines, the Nevada Journal, Boone Today and Dallas County News. Omaha World-Herald Co. also will acquire the Story County Advertiser, the Boone Shopping News and a number of area shopping guides, direct mail businesses and weekly newspapers in central Iowa.
