Sep. 24 -- ONTARIO, Calif. -- Even the nation's pioneering no-frills airline didn't like the Spartan conditions at the old Ontario International Airport passenger terminal.
The drab, cramped building looked more like a Third World outpost than a bustling Southern California airport.
"I can't believe we ever worked over there," said Al Stephens, Ontario station manager for discount carrier Southwest Airlines. "Especially now that we've been here for a year."
