Sep. 24 -- The Miami Heat wants to bring a fourth celebrity name to downtown Miami: Isaac Hayes, the cultural icon whose career has seen a resurgence thanks to his role as Chef on the TV comedy series South Park.
The Heat is talking with the Oscar-winning actor-singer-composer to develop a restaurant near the new American Airlines Arena, which opens New Year's Eve with the Gloria Estefan concert. The Heat's management has already succeeded in wooing Estefan, Jimmy Buffett and basketball legend Magic Johnson to develop ventures around the arena.
