Sep. 24 -- A limited supply of land for industrial development has left Omaha trailing Sarpy County in the metropolitan area's economic development sweepstakes.
"Sarpy County's time has come," said Steve Jensen, assistant director of the Omaha Planning Department. "They have some good ground for industrial development."
Recent arrivals to Sarpy sites, such as ADT Security Services, a Shopko distribution center and the Caterpillar Claas combine manufacturing plant, each will create hundreds of jobs.
