Sep. 29 -- Spangler Printers, one of the Kansas City area's largest printing companies, is being acquired by California investors who plan to build a national network of major regional printers.
Executives of employee-owned Spangler and Kelmscott Communications LLC, of San Francisco, said Tuesday they expect the cash transaction will be completed in 60 to 90 days. Additional terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Spangler's name, management, 170-member work force and overall operations will be virtually unchanged by the merger, said Larry Pinnick, executive vice president at the Kansas City, Kan., ...
