Anxiety disorders are the most prevalent and treatable of the major mental health disorders. The lifetime prevalence of anxiety disorders is 14.6% of the U.S. population aged 18 or older, while the one-month prevalence is 7.3%. This translates into 13.4 million people at one month and 26.9 million over a lifetime who suffer from a diagnosable anxiety disorder.
