NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 8, 1999--

A space.com survey released today shows broad support among Americans for the International Space Station as well as a desire to continue current spending levels on the space program.

According to a survey commissioned by space.com and conducted by Yankelovich Partners, 69% of those surveyed think the United States is spending the right amount or too little on the space program. Forty six percent feel the U.S. is spending the right amount while 23% think the U.S. is spending too little.

In addition, three in five Americans think the International Space Station is a good investment.
