Basel -- Novartis announced today that it has received an approvable letter from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for Trileptal (oxcarbazepine tablets), an anti-epileptic drug for the treatment of partial seizures as adjunctive or monotherapy in adults and as adjunctive therapy in pediatric patients. An approvable letter usually represents the final step before a product receives FDA clearance for marketing in the US.
