Casual users might want to wait.
This fall, Intel will roll out two new system-logic chip sets that will usher in a new generation of PC platforms. The advantages of the new systems will not be immediately apparent to most users, but under the hood, some significant changes will increase the amount of "headroom" in the system and should enable more advanced applications in the future.
