PROJECT OVERVIEW:
U.S.-based APEX SILVER MINES LTD. was recently provided with a positive feasibility study, of reportedly bankable quality, regarding the construction of its San Cristobal silver/zinc mine in southern Bolivia. According to the results of the study, San Cristobal can be mined by low-cost, large-scale open-pit mining methods. As a result, it would be expected to become one of the world's largest, lowest-cost, producers of both silver and zinc. The mine operations will be at an elevation of 4,000 to 4,200 meters and the mill is to be sited at 3,800 meters.
