What is ovarian cancer?
Ovarian cancer is a malignant, life-threatening tumor that develops in a woman's ovaries. It most commonly occurs after age 50 and is the fourth leading cause of cancer death in women. If it is not discovered and treated promptly, it can be fatal within a few years. If the tumor is discovered and treated early, there is a chance of complete cure.
